WUNDA EPS 400 KPA Overfloor boards are the strongest available and laminated with thick 200 micron aluminium for ultimate Rapid Response®.
20mm Boards require 16mm Pipe; 16mm Boards require 12mm pipe.
Wunda low profile EPS 400 Rapid Response® Overfloor boards are 400KPA high compressive strength boards with a 200 micron thick aluminium coating. 200 microns will give optimum system performance, aluminium any thicker than 200 microns offers no performance gain and system performance will plateaux.

Laminate and engineered wood can be laid directly on top or tiles can be fixed to the boards using Mapei approved adhesive. If you wish to carpet or lay vinyl a suitable backer board will need to be laid on the Overfloor boards.

Under Wood, Laminate or Engineered
So what's a micron? It's simply a measurement of thickness where 1000 microns is equal to 1mm.
200 microns gives the best performance with rapid response, only requiring low temperature water often as low as 35 degrees.
100 microns will give you a good response in well insulated modern properties.
50 microns is not recommended and will give slow performance and may require supplementary heating as well as needing high temperature water.
