CHOOSE YOUR HEAT UP SPEED

16mm boards require 12mm pipe in 80m (inc. up to 20m transitional) lengths using 120mm pipe spacings 20mm boards require 16mm pipe in 100m lengths using 150mm pipe spacings Approved for Tiling directly onto - without the need for a backerboard*, just prime the aluminium for tile adhesives.
Wundatherm Premium+ Board is made with 400 kPa polystyrene, the strongest available on the market. Read our blog on why kPa is important! 200 microns will give optimum system performance, aluminium any thicker than 200 microns offers no performance gain and system performance will plateaux. Wundatherm underfloor heating boards are lightweight, super strong, easy to fit and designed to be fitted over any existing or new floor. No specialist tools are required, they can be simply cut to shape using a fine toothed saw or craft knife. MAPEI, INSTARMAC and NORCROS approved for tiling onto - Using Mapei & Instarmac approved S2 flexible adhesive and primers please Refer to factsheet FO1b. *Natural stone may require a backerboard - please call for details or refer to Factsheet FO1b for specific details.

- 400 kPa - the strongest EPS board available (Uses 4 times the material of Wundatherm Low Density for superior strength)
- 16mm board uses 120mm pipe spacings with 60m pipe lengths
- 20mm board uses 150mm pipe spacings with 100m pipe length
- Mapei & Instarmac approved for tiling directly onto using specified methods as per Wunda factsheet FO1b
- Easy to cut to shape with basic tools
- Eliminates the moisture, weight, mess and lengthy drying times of a screed Underfloor system
Beware when comparing Overfloor boards - although they may all look similar make sure you check the tech spec to ensure it's the correct strength for your desired finish.
Rapid Response® and maximum heat is only possible with Wundatherm Hard board, because it uses 200 micron aluminium
Aluminium thickness | Board heat up speed | Heat output Under Wood, Laminate or Engineered | Heat output Under Carpet |
---|---|---|---|
Thick | Rapid Response® | 100w/m² | 80w/m² |
Thin | Very Fast | 60w/m² | 55w/m² |
Budget | Fast | 40w/m² | 35w/m² |
No Aluminium (Basic) | Slow | 20w/m² | 17w/m² |
Please note: Output and system performance is dependent on insulation standards and environmental conditions.
